Directing

Rod is Associate Artistic Director of the Ensemble Studio Theatre/LA where he directs and develops new plays. He is also Repertory Directory and Producing Director of the New York Theatre Intensives/EST Summer Conservatory in New York City and a frequent guest director at the Shakespeare Theatre, in Washington DC.

He has directed over 50 theatre productions, ranging from classics, like Shakespeare's Pericles, for the Shakespeare Theater to new plays like
The Marriage Suite, for EST/LA.

He has also developed and directed over a dozen solo shows. Credits include Around the Way Girl, at Joe's Pub (NY), All I Ever Wanted, Santa Monica Playhouse, and Sweet Dreams, by Elisa Donovan at EST/LA.

Rod is a member of Stage Directors and Choreographers (SDC) and an alum of the Diretor's Lab West (2010). He recently adjuticated the SDC Directing Initiative at the Region VIII Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival.
